A Tribute to Dr. Hicks

I have wonderful memories of Dr. Hicks. He has been one of the greatest influences in my life. He and Sister Hicks were some of my earliest mentors in the ministry. I will never forget his devotion to integrity, to personal discipline, and to biblical Truth. It is his great love for the ministry and for those of us who were in ministry that so impressed this once young preacher. I never once saw him with a critical or vindictive spirit. I never knew him to waver from his purpose, and I never saw him but what his gaze was upward and forward. I will miss him terribly. He was always there in my time of need, and I never worried that he might break his word or my confidence. In my eyes he was a giant. One of my Hero’s.
